Nova Factions uses Aternos for hosting, which is an on-demand hosting service. This means the server automatically hibernates (sleeps) when no players are online to save resources.

When you try to connect:
1. The server will automatically wake up
2. Wait about 30-60 seconds for it to start
3. Try connecting again - you'll be able to join!

This is completely normal behavior for free hosting services like Aternos and Minehut. The server is available, it just needs a moment to wake up when someone wants to play.

To join Nova Factions:

Java Edition:
1. Open Minecraft and click "Multiplayer"
2. Click "Add Server" or "Direct Connection"
3. Enter the server address: nova_factions.aternos.me:49974
4. Click "Join Server"

Bedrock Edition:
1. Open Minecraft and go to "Play"
2. Go to "Servers" tab
3. Click "Add Server"
4. Enter Server Name and Address: nova_factions.aternos.me:49974
5. Port: 49974
6. Click "Save" and join!
